The Coastal Seniors Met with Sheriff Michael A. Adkinson, Jr. to Learn About Safety Tips and Resources in Walton County
Walton County Sheriff Mike Adkinson accompanied by Corey Dobridnia, Public Information Officer, delivered a great presentation at the Coastal Seniors monthly event on July 16 2019.
The Sheriff’s office offers many great programs to the residents of Walton County. Among the information provided by the Sheriff are two programs that may be of special interest to you.
HANDLE WITH CARE
The Walton County Sheriff’s Office is committed to providing the best service possible to the citizens of Walton County. The newly launched Handle with Care program is designed to meet the needs of residents who may require special assistance during an emergency or non-emergency situations.
The Walton County Sheriff’s Office has been calling elderly and home-bound residents for more than 30 years. SafetyNet (previously known as the Elderly Call List) is a free service in which the Walton County Sheriff’s Office makes daily phone calls to check on the safety of senior citizens of Walton County. SafetyNet eases the concern of friends and relatives, who may find it difficult to maintain constant reliable contact with elderly friends and/or family members.
